About the position
Waynesburg University seeks qualified applicants for the position of Campus Security Officer. This is a part-time position.
Responsibilities
- Providing for the safety of students, faculty, and staff and the security of all university buildings and property by preserving law and order and enforcing regulations.
- Responding to emergency situations on campus.
- Routinely performing foot or mobile patrols to ensure security of university or university lots, buildings, and property.
Requirements
- High School graduation or GED equivalency.
- Two years of experience as a law enforcement officer required, preferably at a higher education institution.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Pennsylvania Act 235 certification required; Act 120 certification preferred.
- Knowledge of the techniques of criminal investigation, including report writing.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with various constituent groups.
