The Campus Service Ambassador at the University of Cincinnati plays a vital role in ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for residents and visitors in the residence halls. This position involves performing greeter duties and housekeeping services, with responsibilities that may shift based on departmental needs. The role requires strong customer service skills and the ability to handle various situations, including emergencies, while maintaining a positive relationship with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents, visitors, and vendors entering and exiting residence halls.
• Inspect the building periodically and report issues to ensure security and functionality.
• Act as a liaison to Emergency Maintenance and campus partners as necessary.
• Report unauthorized or suspicious individuals to Public Safety personnel.
• Audit residence hall restrooms and common spaces for cleanliness.
• Assist Housekeeping and Emergency Maintenance teams during building emergencies.
• Perform hall opening and closing room preparation as needed.
• Complete housekeeping-related duties during peak times.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year of customer service related experience
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly and correctly
• Some positions may require a valid driver's license with an acceptable record
• Must pass a criminal background check
• Must complete field training and HR training programs within six months
