About the position

As an IT Early Career Associate within the EDGE program at Capital Group, you will be placed in a selected team where your manager will assign you to work on various technology, systems, and projects as needed. This role as a Solutions Engineer is designed to provide you with an engaging cohort experience that emphasizes learning and development, along with opportunities to make connections through social events and networking during your first year. You will have the chance to learn directly from leaders through a speaker series, tackle interesting business problems in sprint challenges, and engage in activities that will enhance your technical skills and business acumen. In this position, you will be well supported as you learn how information technology elevates our ability to provide the best technology platforms for our internal customers. You will gain insights into how the Capital System has sustained superior results over time. Your responsibilities may include solving problems through rigorous analysis, designing, developing, and testing creative technical solutions for business needs, and working as part of an inclusive and collaborative team in an agile environment. You will also engage in system analysis while partnering with business and technical teams and will have the opportunity to work with industry-leading technologies. Additionally, you will collaborate with multiple departments across ITG to implement enterprise-wide efforts.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Recent graduate from 2023 or 2024 with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Practical experience with full-stack development, Angular, SQL, C#, and .NET.
  • Interest in gaining knowledge in technology and finance.
  • Basic understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies.
  • Effective communication skills and professional interaction with others.
  • Willingness to embrace new and unfamiliar challenges with a continuous learning mindset.
  • Solution-driven and accountable for results, with the ability to articulate thought processes.
  • Enjoy working with business users and gathering documentation.
  • Highly collaborative and open to sharing viewpoints.
