About the position

As a Campus Undergraduate Technology Technical Project Manager at American Express, you will play a crucial role in managing technical projects from conception to completion. This position involves planning, coordinating, and monitoring project delivery while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product capabilities and customer experiences. You will be part of a diverse community committed to supporting each other and driving business success through innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead in the development of project plans and ensure the scope and approach is fully understood by all partners.
  • Monitor and communicate progress of project delivery by cost, forecast, schedule and assessment of risks/issues.
  • Support agile development planning and implementation of technology development projects that evolve product capabilities and system integration.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Proactively manage project risks & ensure timely mitigation planning is in place for continued delivery.
  • Participate in Agile Ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up and Retrospective.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in a related field.
  • Students must have a graduation date between December 2024 and June 2025.
  • Prior relevant Technology and business work experience.

  • Proficient in analytical and presentation tools, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a technology organization, with working knowledge of Software Development processes and Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge and experience in Rally or Jira preferred.
