The Cancer Registrar II at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute plays a crucial role in the identification, registration, and abstraction of cancer patients. This position operates under the direct supervision of the DF/BCC Associate Director and is responsible for reviewing and analyzing hospital records and other medical reports to extract relevant cancer data. The registrar will determine and classify various demographics, primary site, histology, stage, and treatment for all cancer sites, ensuring compliance with the standards set by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons, as well as state cancer registries in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Additionally, the role involves performing annual patient follow-ups as necessary to maintain accurate and up-to-date records. The Cancer Registrar II is expected to work full-time, 40 hours a week, from Monday to Friday, with a standard schedule of 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a focus on the critical task of data collection and reporting.
