About The Position

The Cannabis Advisor is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and educational consulting regarding cannabis products. This role involves assisting customers and patients in understanding the benefits and uses of cannabis as a wellness product, while also managing patient records and ensuring compliance with local and state regulations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of retail or hospitality experience.
• Must be 21 years of age and comply with all local, state, and company regulations.
• Required to undergo a criminal background check and obtain appropriate state badging.
• Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes, and product application/consumption methods.
• Ability to use office equipment and software such as Word, Excel, and email.
• Learn and understand Federal, State, and local laws relating to the cannabis industry and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and patients with a positive attitude.
• Advocate for cannabis customer care.
• Educate customers and patients on cannabis usage as a wellness product.
• Build rapport with regular patients/customers to encourage repeat business.
• Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Provide information on types, methods, and efficacy of various cannabis products without offering medical advice.
• Engage in ongoing cannabis education and training.
• Support managers and other Cannabis Advisors as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation/storefront.
• Ensure accuracy of online orders before pick-up.
• Understand and apply compliance regulations as required by local and state laws.
• Stock, merchandise, and replenish displays of inventory.
• Complete transactions at the POS and ensure accurate updates to the state monitored inventory system.
