About the position

The Edibles Manager is responsible for overseeing the kitchen staff and cooking procedures to create consistent, safe, and high-quality cannabis-infused edibles. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, developing new products for the Mississippi market, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. Strong communication, attention to detail, and time management skills are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop new cannabis edible products for the MS market
• Coordinate production and employee schedules using sales and market data
• Order production supplies and kitchen equipment as needed
• Train kitchen staff on operational standards
• Maintain accurate production reports
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the facility
• Follow recipes and formulas for marijuana-infused products
• Coordinate with other teams to ensure compliance with the Department of Public Health
• Audit inventory regularly to ensure full compliance
• Create and maintain all product specification documents, recipes, formulas, and food safety plans
• Manage day-to-day operations of the production area and team, including scheduling and capacity planning

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Sciences (Food Science preferred)
• 5+ years of experience producing candies, chocolates, cookies, brownies, etc.
• Management experience within a commercial kitchen or food production environment
• Excellent organizational skills
• Conflict management abilities
• Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment
• Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends
• Proven work experience as a Kitchen Manager, Restaurant Manager, or Head/Sous Chef
• Experience with production planning
• MS Cannabis work permit required
• Attention to detail is an absolute must

Nice-to-haves

• Experience infusing foods and other products with cannabis oil infusion
• Experience with METRC or another seed to sale tracking system
