About the position

The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing a variety of inventory operations within the cannabis industry, specifically focusing on retail, wholesale, and cultivation operations. This role involves managing day-to-day inventory tasks, including product intake, returns, and ensuring that all products are accurately tracked within the Massachusetts Track and Trace system (METRC) and the Point-of-Sale (POS) system. The Inventory Manager will also supervise inventory associates in packing orders and will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory counts and records. In addition to daily inventory management, the Inventory Manager will handle the operations of the Wholesale Program, which includes managing inbound and outbound transfers of the company's branded products stored in a secure vault. This position requires the manager to ensure that all products are properly labeled and scanned before being transferred to the inventory area or sales floor. The role also involves coordinating with the General Manager to address any discrepancies found during inventory evaluations and ensuring compliance with cannabis regulations. The Inventory Manager will be expected to create and maintain a calendar for upcoming expired products, manage quarantined products, and implement cannabis waste procedures. Proficiency in the BAMBOO platform is necessary for servicing wholesale account customers, and collaboration with the Head of Agriculture is required to ensure METRC compliance at the cultivation facility when needed. This position is full-time and offers a competitive hourly wage of $22.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day inventory operations including product intake and returns.
  • Ensure daily inventory counts and oversee inventory associates in packing orders.
  • Manage the operations of the Wholesale Program, including inbound and outbound transfers of products.
  • Ensure products are received and tracked accurately in METRC and POS systems.
  • Create and maintain a calendar for upcoming expired products and manage quarantined products.
  • Implement cannabis waste procedures and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Provide timely notice to the General Manager regarding inventory discrepancies for investigation.
  • Establish proficiency in the BAMBOO platform for servicing wholesale account customers.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Agriculture to ensure METRC compliance at the cultivation facility.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Inventory experience in a retail environment.
  • Strong math skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Experience with METRC or similar cannabis seed-to-sale tracking software (preferred).
  • Ability to work flexible hours including days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High attention to detail, speed, and accuracy in job functions.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3 years of relevant experience and/or training (preferred).
  • Responsible Vendor Training (RVT) and METRC certification (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
