About the position

The Cannabis Sales Account Manager at Phat Panda serves as the primary liaison between the company and its accounts, focusing on enhancing customer relationships and driving sales growth. This role involves managing vendor education, identifying sales opportunities, and coordinating product distribution, particularly in the edibles sector. The position requires proactive engagement with clients and the ability to analyze account data to optimize product placement and inventory management.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a Go-To for account as liaison between customer and company on any questions or issues that may arise.
  • Performs weekly check-in sales calls.
  • Makes 25 - 30 sales calls per week visiting stores in assigned territory.
  • Hosts quarterly business reviews with top accounts.
  • Calculates discounts for special buys or outdated products and notifies Sales Support Representative Team.
  • Notifies upper management of any product or paperwork issues.
  • Alerts clients of new products, promotions, etc.
  • Provides product/specials recommendations for account building.
  • Uses data tools and account history to analyze accounts and make suggestions of items to be placed on the shelf to maximize the account and Brand presence.
  • Coordinates Vendor Day events with scheduling personnel.
  • Tracks and reviews real-time client inventory using Headset, Greenbits, and other inventory and data programs.
  • Places weekly proposal orders in the Panda Portal for approval by vendor considering inventory trends and flow rates, and distribution voids as well as par levels set by vendor if applicable.
  • Performs all other duties/responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
  • Assists with Research and Development as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Business to Business sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Cannabis Sales experience is a plus!
  • Ability to travel (state-wide) for Vendor Shows and as needed.
  • High School Diploma or a General Education Degree.
  • Computer Experience preferred.
