About the position

The Canvass Manager will lead a team of door-to-door canvassers, focusing on building a successful canvassing model that can expand regionally. This role involves training and developing canvassers, ensuring they have a clear career path, and holding the team accountable to exceed goals. The manager will also engage in direct canvassing efforts, educating community members about the voting process and endorsed candidates, while distributing relevant materials in targeted communities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of door-to-door canvassers
• Build a winning canvassing model that can grow regionally
• Train and develop canvassers as a career path for promotion and career success
• Hire, train, motivate, coach, and hold the team accountable in order to exceed goals
• Perform targeted door-to-door canvassing in assigned, pre-selected communities and voters
• Educate community members about the voting process and endorsed candidates
• Distribute educational and candidate support materials door-to-door in pre-selected communities and voters
• Participate in training and staff meetings
• Create, update, and follow a daily agenda
• Keep a daily narrative about field findings, document any challenges or obstacles encountered in the field, and be prepared to offer solutions and workarounds to overcome them
• Other duties, as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Valid Texas Driver's License required
• Knowledgeable in MiniVAN
• Moderate experience using Google G Suite
