About the position

Working America is seeking passionate activists to join our team as Canvassers in Mesa, AZ. This full-time position offers an opportunity to engage with the public and promote important causes related to workers' rights, social and economic justice, and community empowerment. As part of one of the largest nationally unionized canvass operations in the country, you will be involved in various outreach methods to build community power and experiment with new organizing strategies. This entry-level role does not require prior experience, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in activism and community organizing. In this role, you will participate in daily training sessions designed to empower you for career advancement while building real, lasting power in Arizona. The position offers a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, with shifts running from 12:30 PM to 9 PM, and opportunities for overtime paid at time and a half. Canvassers will earn up to $30 per hour, with rapid promotions available for those demonstrating leadership potential. You will be part of a team that organizes crucial issues, legislative, and electoral campaigns at various levels, advocating for good jobs, corporate accountability, healthcare, secure retirement, and education. Responsibilities

Requirements
