About the position

The Direct Marketing Manager for Canvassing at Renewal by Andersen is responsible for leading multiple teams of door-to-door canvassers to enhance local awareness and drive sales through scheduled demonstrations. This role involves hands-on leadership, talent development, operational management, and financial stewardship to ensure the success of the canvassing efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Manage team leaders and teams of Direct Marketers, providing motivation and feedback to help individuals reach performance goals.
  • Recruit, hire, and train Direct Marketers to ensure a strong understanding of company products and sales methodologies.
  • Build a high-performing team through ongoing mentorship, coaching, and development in both office and field settings.
  • Partner with senior leadership to create and drive individual and team performance goals on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
  • Analyze trends and results of lead generation, recommending corrective actions and opportunities to maximize sales.
  • Oversee department budget, monitoring payroll expenses and Cost of Marketing.
  • Coordinate canvassing logistics using company software for mapping and tracking, ensuring maintenance of scripts and flyers, and verifying leads obtained during each shift.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction for both external and internal customers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED).
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a leadership role within canvassing or face-to-face marketing/sales programs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven ability to develop, motivate, and lead high performing teams to achieve sales targets.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
