The CAO Lead position at City Market involves assisting the Department Manager in various operational aspects of the Grocery Department. Responsibilities

  • Assist Department Manager in planning and organizing Grocery Department operations.
  • Train and direct Grocery Department associates to ensure effective performance.
  • Perform production and customer service functions to maximize store sales and profits.
  • Respond to customer and associate comments, complaints, and requests in a professional manner.
  • Manage staffing needs and schedule associates to provide prompt service.
  • Utilize Computer Assisted Ordering (CAO) for inventory management and ordering.

Requirements

  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to make intelligent decisions quickly.
  • Capability to handle stressful situations calmly and positively.
  • Understanding of key components of department operations including merchandising and inventory management.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices and OSHA compliance.
  • Qualified to operate power machinery and various job tools.
