About the position

The Capital Equipment Specialist at Solta, a division of Bausch Health, plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for patients by delivering sophisticated technology in simple, elegant designs. This position is responsible for selling, planning, organizing, and implementing all account management activities related to the sale and distribution of Solta's capital equipment within a designated territory. The specialist is held accountable for achieving sales quotas and objectives, which are vital for the success of the company in the competitive aesthetic and therapeutic market. In this role, the Capital Equipment Specialist will focus on achieving sales quota results in the assigned territory through effective territory penetration and account identification. This involves driving sales and expanding the customer base for Solta devices. The specialist will provide training presentations and demonstrations to customers, ensuring they understand the application and use of the company's products. This includes educating customers on the indications, contraindications, and safety of Solta products, thereby fulfilling their needs effectively. Additionally, the specialist will support and facilitate regional training workshops and tradeshows, pre-plan sales calls, and maintain efficient time management skills to maximize customer contact and service levels. Responsibilities also include developing and maintaining up-to-date account files, preparing sales contracts, and completing administrative tasks such as quarterly business plans and expense reports. The role requires maintaining knowledge of the industry and competitive products, developing productive relationships within the organization, and ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory guidelines. Consistent communication with the Director of Sales and Sales Consultants is essential for accurate forecasting and territory management. The Capital Equipment Specialist must demonstrate a strong work ethic and represent Solta with integrity, ethics, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Achieving sales quota results in the assigned territory.
  • Performing effective territory penetration coverage and account identification to drive sales and increase the customer base for Solta devices.
  • Providing training presentations and demonstrations to customers on the application and use of the company's products.
  • Educating customers regarding the indications, contraindications, and safety of Solta products.
  • Supporting and facilitating the execution of regional training workshops and tradeshows within the territory.
  • Pre-planning sales calls and maintaining efficient time management skills to ensure maximum customer contact.
  • Developing and maintaining up-to-date account files.
  • Preparing sales contracts, quotes, price, and terms per company guidelines.
  • Completing administrative responsibilities including quarterly business plans and weekly expense reports.
  • Maintaining updated knowledge of the industry and competitive products.
  • Developing and maintaining supportive, productive, and effective relationships at all levels within the organization.
  • Maintaining compliance with all applicable quality and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintaining consistent communication with the Director of Sales and Sales Consultant(s) on all matters related to the territory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred along with experience selling capital equipment in the Aesthetics or Dermatology space.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with all levels of employees.
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive communications and technical presentations to physicians, management, and/or large groups.
  • Ability to thoroughly understand and communicate the attributes and qualities of Solta products using professional selling and closing skills.
  • Ability to use word processing and database applications and various software programs such as Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of FDA GMPs and ability to function in a controlled environment regulated by FDA GMPs.
  • Knowledge of clinical surgical techniques and procedures and medical terminology.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Skill in managing time effectively.
  • Ability to be flexible in changing daily workload priorities as directed.
  • Ability to travel adequately to cover territory including overnight stays, attend tradeshows and corporate and training meetings.
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and workload planning skills.
  • Ability to maintain a suitable work station (including inventory) remotely.
  • Ability to transport up to 60 pounds of equipment within the territory and have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
