About the position

The Capital Markets Associate Principal at Toorak Capital Partners is responsible for managing all aspects of securitization and whole loan transactions, specifically focusing on residential whole loans including Non-QM, DSCR, and business purpose loans. This role involves coordinating with various counterparties, enhancing trading capabilities through technology, and maintaining relationships with external parties such as banks and rating agencies. The position is integral to the company's operations in both buying and selling whole loans.

Responsibilities

• Manage transaction processes for securitization and whole loan trading, including both buying and selling of residential mortgages.
• Coordinate with various counterparties, including bankers, lawyers, custodians, and other deal parties.
• Utilize programming knowledge and internal technology resources to create efficiencies and enhance trading capabilities.
• Maintain relationships with external third parties, including rating agencies, banks, lawyers, lenders, and brokers.
• Oversee the securitization and whole loan transaction process.

Requirements

• 8 or more years of experience in managing securitization and whole loan transactions.
• Experience with Non-QM, DSCR, and business purpose loans.
• Knowledge of Fixed Income Markets.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly with Senior Management.
• 4-year degree from an accredited university.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working for an aggregator in the mortgage industry.
• 1 year of experience with financial concepts.
