About the position

The Capital Markets Senior Financial Analyst (CMFA) at Cushman & Wakefield plays a crucial role in supporting transactions generated by the Investment Sales brokerage services. This position focuses on complex financial analysis, including valuation analyses for industrial, office, and retail properties. The CMFA is responsible for creating financial models, conducting due diligence, and summarizing findings for brokers, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet client expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of complex financial analysis/modeling requests and serve as a project manager on high-value client opportunities.
  • Prepare pro forma statements, discounted cash flow analyses, and Excel-based financial models considering market conditions.
  • Conduct audits of existing financial models for accuracy and validity of assumptions, identifying data gaps.
  • Conduct market research to analyze property and market conditions and synthesize findings clearly.
  • Communicate with Brokers to confirm request scope and review analysis findings, ensuring clarity and accuracy in revisions.
  • Identify and communicate any missing information or unclear requests to ensure accurate analyses.
  • Develop high-level analysis summaries by identifying transaction considerations, trends, and logical inconsistencies.
  • Assist and mentor CMFA Analysts in their development.
  • Participate in the development of training resources for continuous Analyst development.
  • Perform quality control reviews to ensure thorough and complete work products, identifying themes for further training.
  • Track and develop knowledge of real estate fundamentals and industry trends.
  • Support process improvement and automation initiatives within the CMFA Hub.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of financial analysis and modeling experience; Capital Markets experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of real estate financial concepts.
  • Extensive experience with Argus Enterprise and other discounted cash flow tools required.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated time management and organization skills.
  • Proactive and growth-oriented mindset with a desire to learn and help others succeed.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Capital Markets is a plus.
  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
