About the position

The Capital Project Procurement Specialist, Senior Staff is responsible for implementing Supplier Commercial Excellence for IT-related capital projects and enterprise investments. This role involves executing the end-to-end procurement and supply chain processes, supporting the deployment of Entergy's capital investment strategy, and leading commercial efforts for project planning and supplier performance management. The specialist operates autonomously, providing oversight and guidance to other procurement specialists, and is recognized as a subject matter expert in capital project procurement.

Responsibilities

  • Promote strong safety behaviors and ensure safety is prioritized.
  • Perform storm role duties as assigned through the Storm Assignment Management System (SAMS).
  • Develop and execute commercial strategies to drive value and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with business units to support capital fund deployment.
  • Develop commercial strategies and contract plans aligned to project needs.
  • Perform Bid-Evaluate-Award activities in line with supply chain policy.
  • Manage compliance to contract provisions and administer contract change orders.
  • Provide oversight of contractor performance, including claims management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure engagement in the capital project process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, Engineering, Legal, or related discipline with 12+ years of experience, or 16+ years of experience without a degree.
  • Minimum 6+ years' supply chain experience in capital projects contracting and procurement, preferably in electric utility.
  • Deep understanding of Entergy's business model and capital projects portfolio.
  • Mastery of commercial management processes including supplier diversity and safety metrics.
  • Expertise in capital project contracting strategies and methodologies.
  • Mastery in creating negotiation strategies and leading negotiations for complex contracts.
  • Extensive knowledge of business and supply chain operations within Entergy.

Nice-to-haves
