About the position

The Team Lead at Kraft Heinz is responsible for providing leadership and support to ensure efficient production of quality products. This role involves coordinating operations, monitoring production processes, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Team Lead plays a crucial role in fostering teamwork, resolving conflicts, and maintaining high performance within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Work with all departments to meet or surpass the plant's safety goals.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Dress Code policies.
  • Coordinate on-line operations with Operators, Technicians, and other team members to meet production schedules.
  • Monitor and control the entire production process from raw materials to finished goods.
  • Conduct first level Green Room meetings and prepare for level 2 meetings.
  • Attend quarterly Team Lead meetings and monitor Quality, Safety, G.M.P., and Housekeeping issues.
  • Review HACCP checks, conduct ATP swab tests, and monitor heat exchanger charts.
  • Verify and sign off on all respective CIL and CLM books and forms.
  • Coordinate slop removal with the Farmer when necessary.
  • Learn quality data sheets and verify weight control data throughout the shift.
  • Take appropriate action if weights are out of control limits.
  • Complete HOLD process before ending the shift and submit daily quality reports.
  • Communicate production, cost, and efficiency information to the team.
  • Spend 80-100% of time on the floor, arranging for coverage and filling in as needed.
  • Evaluate and communicate team and individual performance to develop teamwork.
  • Verify timesheets and ensure team completes their CBTs on time.
  • Help resolve conflicts on the floor and eliminate unnecessary downtime.
  • Review Zarpac/OEE/MES reports and make corrections if necessary.
  • Identify safety concerns and resolve them immediately.
  • Follow up on employee training and ensure compliance with OEE and yield targets.
  • Complete 30, 60, and 90 day reviews on time.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of Filler Operator role.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical parts and how they work.
