About the position
The Captain, or Pilot-in-Command (PIC), at Lowe's is responsible for providing safe and efficient air transportation for the company and its subsidiaries. This role involves adhering to operational guidelines, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, and managing all aspects of flight operations, including crew responsibilities, safety protocols, and aircraft maintenance. The Captain plays a critical role in facilitating the transportation of key decision-makers and is involved in various ancillary duties within the Aviation Department.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe and efficient air transportation as Pilot-in-Command (PIC).
- Ensure compliance with Lowe's Aviation Operations Manual and FAA regulations.
- Conduct weather briefings, fuel planning, and file flight plans.
- Manage transportation logistics and ensure the safety of passengers, crew, and cargo.
- Delegate duties to the Second-in-Command for safe aircraft operation.
- Perform preflight inspections and ensure aircraft is airworthy and registered.
- Provide Passenger Safety Briefing to passengers before flights.
- Monitor fuel levels and communicate with ATC during abnormal situations.
- Complete postflight duties, including reporting deviations and recording flight times.
- Participate in the Safety Management System and ensure compliance with customs and immigration laws.
Requirements
- 2,500 Hours Total Flight Time (minimum)
- 2,000 Hours Multi-Engine
- Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
- First Class Medical
- Bachelor's degree (preferred)
