About the position

The Capture Manager at GovCIO is responsible for developing key business relationships within the government marketplace, focusing on identifying and expanding business opportunities. This fully remote position involves leading capture efforts for new contracts, maintaining a sales pipeline, and ensuring the implementation of business development strategies. The role requires collaboration with various teams to deliver professional services solutions and to interface directly with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify further opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop key business relationships in the government marketplace.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for business expansion.
  • Support the development of customer or market penetration strategies.
  • Lead capture efforts to secure new or re-compete contracts.
  • Develop and maintain a sales pipeline in commercial and federal markets.
  • Act as a liaison with government agencies and offices.
  • Ensure the implementation of the business development strategy.
  • Make recommendations for changes to strategy.
  • Lead teams to develop and deliver professional services solutions.
  • Assist in developing and facilitating the sales process for specific clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of experience or commensurate experience.
  • Demonstrated analytical, reasoning, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Skills in communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical customers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with executive and senior leadership.
