The Capture Research Analyst position at BTAS is a full-time role based in the Corporate Office in Beavercreek, Ohio. This position reports directly to the Business Development Director and plays a crucial role in supporting the Business Development Team and Proposal Team in their efforts to pursue target markets and opportunities. The primary focus of the Capture Research Analyst is to assist in growing the company's network of partnerships and customer relationships, identifying and assessing new opportunities and markets, and developing and implementing effective win strategies and capture plans. Additionally, the analyst will provide research support as needed for proposal development, ensuring that the teams have the necessary data and insights to succeed in their pursuits. In this role, the Capture Research Analyst will be responsible for conducting thorough market research and analysis to provide market-specific recommendations. This includes evaluating contract vehicle utilization, identifying new opportunities, and assessing potential partnerships. The analyst will also conduct opportunity-specific research to enable effective pursuit strategies, which involves analyzing potential competitors and teammates, gathering customer profiles and contact information, and reviewing spending profiles. The role requires a strong ability to provide data-driven recommendations that support strategy development for new market penetration and opportunity capture plans. The Capture Research Analyst will also be tasked with maintaining accurate corporate data lists and information repositories related to pipeline and opportunity management. This includes providing research support to the proposal team, reviewing historical documentation to enhance proposal writing efforts, and recommending continuous improvements in business development tools and templates. The analyst may also provide research support to other corporate functions, such as recruiting and pricing, as needed. To excel in this position, the Capture Research Analyst must possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously while delivering meaningful results. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential, as the analyst will need to articulate complex business and technical concepts clearly. The role demands expert research and analytic skills, a strong sense of curiosity, and the ability to discern valuable research areas to maximize the impact of research results. Familiarity with federal opportunity tracking systems and tools, as well as advanced proficiency in MS Office tools, is also required.
