About the position
Our used car dealership is seeking a Car Salesperson who is able to learn quickly and start generating results in a fast-paced sales environment immediately. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about our diverse inventory of used cars and will provide high-quality customer service, acting as a consultant to help customers find the vehicle that best meets their needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop an in-depth understanding of our current car inventory and use that knowledge to encourage customers to make a purchase
- Perform walk-around with new and old customers and demonstrate features of suitable vehicles
- Develop buyers by keeping good rapport with previous and new customers; also, by suggesting trade-ins; respond to inquiries
- Work with our marketing team to grow our customer base
- Assist in setting up the sales lot or the showroom floor for promotions and to put new models on display
- Work with the Finance Manager to develop sales agreements that benefit the company as well as the customer
- Collaborate with our Sales Manager to offer attractive deals on used vehicles to interested customers
- Close sales by overcoming objection(s); complete sales or purchase contracts; explain provisions; offer services, warranties and financing; collect payment and deliver automobile
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED required
- Must be excellent at communicating information to visitors and inquirers
- Previous car sales experience is a plus
- Excellent customer service and negotiation skills
- Strong computer skills required
- Possess understanding and knowledge of equity and values, automobile depreciation, and local, state and federal laws that guide automobiles
- Must be aggressive in selling; and possess a positive attitude.
Nice-to-haves
- Bilingual is a plus but not required
