About the position

Our agency is taking their years of retail marketing experience and launching brand new client-focused promotional campaigns in the automotive sector. In order to successfully execute our upcoming events, we are hiring a Car Key Sales Technician immediately. The Car Key Sales Technician will be responsible for qualifying prospects, managing sales of products and services, executing locksmith duties, and programming of car remotes. This role is crucial in ensuring that our clients receive top-notch service and that their automotive needs are met efficiently and effectively. The Car Key Sales Technician will engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions. This includes programming keys, re-keying, and cutting to code, as well as creating automotive keys and programming transponders. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining a company vehicle, conducting audits, and keeping accurate logs of sales. Managing on-site inventory and troubleshooting product issues are also key responsibilities of this position. The technician will document and update customer records based on interactions to ensure a seamless customer experience. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service and sales, as well as the ability to work independently. The technician must stay up-to-date with new features and product launches to provide the best service possible. The role involves physical tasks such as lifting car hoods and disconnecting batteries, and the technician must be able to enter and exit vehicles as needed. A successful candidate will be responsible, reliable, and possess a strong work ethic, with the ability to work without constant supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Programming keys, re-keying and cutting to code
  • Creating automotive keys and programming transponders
  • Maintaining a company vehicle, audits, and accurate logs of sales
  • Managing on-site inventory
  • Troubleshooting and resolving product issues and concerns
  • Documenting and updating customer records based on interactions

Requirements

  • Proven customer service and sales experience
  • Evaluate customer needs, recommend solutions and quickly build relationships
  • Previous experience in Automotive, Installation, sales or related field preferred
  • Previous sales and customer service experience
  • Must be responsible, reliable and able to work without constant supervision
  • Strong work ethic and a self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised
  • Stay up-to-date with new features and product launches
  • Ability to lift car hoods, disconnect batteries, enter/exit other vehicles
  • Ability to successfully pass a seven year background check
