About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Porter to join our team at Newport Auto Galleria. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming environment for our clients and guests. This part-time position involves assisting with vehicle management, providing excellent hospitality, and maintaining the cleanliness of the premises while effectively communicating with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their needs upon arrival.
• Manage vehicle parking, delivery, and retrieval, ensuring safe and efficient handling of vehicles.
• Maintain cleanliness in designated areas, including parking lots and waiting areas.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Assist with deliveries, ensuring timely and safe transport of goods.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide exceptional hospitality to enhance the customer experience.
• Support dealership operations by performing various tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a dealership or retail environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong cash handling skills with experience operating cash registers.
• Ability to drive various types of vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply for enhanced customer interaction.
• Experience in valet parking or hospitality roles is a plus.
• Familiarity with retail math concepts is beneficial for managing transactions effectively.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
