About the position

The Car Sales & Finance Manager at Hertz is responsible for managing the retail business, including overseeing the sales process, finance operations, and leading the sales team. This role involves ensuring high customer service standards, achieving sales targets, and supporting omni-channel sales initiatives. The manager will also handle store management tasks and compliance, while fostering a positive and results-driven team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed sales targets
  • Manage and lead the sales team, including scheduling, interviewing, hiring, and performance management
  • Drive strong CRM metric accountability
  • Achieve KPI targets
  • Support Digital Retailing initiatives, including Rent2Buy
  • Ensure completion of Finance deal packages
  • Promptly follow up on all missing documents and pending deals
  • Work with Sales Consultants on finance processing and metrics
  • Support the Finance and Insurance process and performance
  • Achieve high customer service score (NPS)
  • Train Sales Staff in customer interaction and processes
  • Oversee store management as the second highest employee at location
  • Support inventory and reconditioning processes
  • Pricing of cars as needed
  • Support omni-channel sales
  • Monitor Store and ICC (Internal Audit Checklist) compliance
  • Manage employee, consumer and vendor issues as needed, including concerns and complaints with Car Sales Leadership and HR

Requirements

  • 3 years' experience in Car Sales
  • Experience in auto dealership or auto financing preferred
  • 1 year of management experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience in car sales management
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across multiple functions and locations
  • Ability to influence
  • Flexible and adaptable; ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Results driven, ability to make decisions and help solve problems
