About the position

The CAR T Market Access Manager (CMAM) at Bristol-Myers Squibb is responsible for executing access and reimbursement strategies within designated Cell Therapy accounts in the Tri-State area (NY, NJ, CT). This role involves leading Market Access activities, collaborating with internal and external partners, and ensuring treatment centers understand Market Access elements, including payer policies and reimbursement processes. The CMAM will report to the East Region Director and is expected to achieve assigned goals while adhering to compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit a high degree of Market Access and Cell Therapy technical expertise within both payer and hospital systems.
  • Maintain full accountability for ensuring assigned Cell Therapy treatment centers understand all elements of Market Access, including Government payer policy, local payer dynamics, and coverage policy.
  • Work cross-functionally within the Cell Therapy Account Management Team and other matrix teams to meet Market Access product objectives.
  • Support and maintain collaborative relationships with the Cell Therapy customer-facing matrix team.
  • Identify and provide relevant regional marketplace feedback to management on customer business trends and account issues.
  • Drive understanding of complex Cell Therapy site-of-care economics for treatment centers.
  • Establish access account management goals and assist Cell Therapy Account Managers to ensure no access barriers.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with key access stakeholders within assigned treatment centers.
  • Facilitate and drive patient journey within accounts as needed.
  • Ensure access challenges are escalated and triaged accordingly within identified accounts.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of focused business plans that align with access objectives for Cell Therapy accounts.
  • Deliver impactful presentations with external healthcare professionals on access and reimbursement topics.
  • Meet annual performance reviews and competency requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Health or Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 1+ years of direct Cell therapy experience strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of overall Pharmaceutical and/or Healthcare industry experience in support of policy, access, and reimbursement preferred.
  • 5+ years of Oncology, Hematology, or other complex, high-cost buy and bill therapy reimbursement experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of reimbursement, coding, and billing across both inpatient and outpatient settings of care.
  • Knowledge of health insurance coverage and reimbursement, including private Commercial coverage, Medicare, and Medicaid.
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment with the need to manage constant change.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Coder or Biller is a plus.
  • Experience in both Academic and Community settings of care preferred.
