About the position

The Card Controller is responsible for the receiving, storage, inventory, preparation, distribution, removal, inspection, and destruction of casino playing cards. This role is crucial for maintaining card security and ensuring accurate inventory control of all Table Games banking cards, thereby protecting the casino's assets and revenue. The position requires adherence to strict gaming regulations and internal policies to prevent impropriety and safeguard the integrity of gaming operations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures control/protection of company assets.
  • Receives and documents new banking card shipments and conducts daily inventory.
  • Prepares and distributes new banking cards to table game areas.
  • Removes cancelled banking cards from podium drawers and verifies their destruction.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of all Card Control activity in logs.
  • Ensures secure transportation and storage of casino playing cards.
  • Checks out keys to access podiums and carts.
  • Notifies management of any problems or concerns and communicates with surveillance regarding card activities.
  • Complies with all Card Control policies and procedures and adheres to gaming regulations.
  • Provides prompt, friendly customer service to both internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to interpret written or oral instructions and analyze technical procedures.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations accurately.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations calmly.
  • Reliable, punctual, and cooperative with co-workers and management.
  • Ability to operate a card counting machine and a card shredding machine.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve issues timely.
  • Effective oral communication skills and active listening abilities.
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Organized, versatile, and able to multitask effectively.
  • Observant and able to recognize patterns.
  • Good memorization and reasoning skills.
