About the position

The Card & Merchant Services Product Manager at Johnson Financial Group is responsible for leading the product strategy and lifecycle management of Card Based Payment and Merchant Services Collection Products. This role focuses on enhancing product offerings to meet market demands, particularly in the retail sector, while ensuring compliance with regulations and optimizing vendor performance. The manager will collaborate with various stakeholders to drive product innovation and market competitiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Manage product life cycle including strategy, design, project development, financial pricing/performance, and marketing plan for Card Based Products and Merchant Services.
  • Identify needs for new products and enhancements by monitoring market trends and banking industry.
  • Collaborate with Business Partners and Line of Business Stakeholders to determine product priorities and go-to-market strategies.
  • Elicit, clarify, and validate requirements and go-to-market strategies with stakeholders including IT, InfoSec, Marketing, and Risk Management.
  • Monitor product performance and life cycle stages based on target market strategy and revenue/cost margin.
  • Manage vendor performance and participate in user groups and conferences.
  • Create and maintain Product Roadmap including validation techniques, goals, metrics/KPIs, and financial business case.
  • Coordinate with Project Management Office for complex development projects.
  • Work with Marketing to determine go-to-market strategy for new products and enhancements.
  • Evaluate and manage lifecycle stages and product performance of product inventory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7 - 10 years of relevant Card and/or Merchant Services industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of digital trends impacting banking and card-based payment services.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, organize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to present ideas to associates at all levels.
  • Strong decision-making and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with moving deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently.
