About the position

We are seeking a talented and entrepreneurial-minded individual who is passionate about executing best in class product management and digital experiences to join the Western Alliance Bank's growing Card Product Management Team in the role of Card Product Analyst. The Card Product Analyst will assist Card Product Manager(s) and other Card Product staff, Card Sales executive leadership, and others with managing all card products including reporting, audit and compliance adherence, vendor management, policy and procedure development and adherence, and more. This role involves researching, analyzing, evaluating, reporting, and communicating internal and external data and product performance for card products. In this position, you will develop, manage, analyze, present, and discuss reporting of key Card product metrics including revenue and interchange, transaction volumes, pricing, trends, profitability, service quality, and other key measurements. You will assist the Card Product Managers, Operations, Sales, and IT teams with designing, developing, and enhancing card products, ensuring product compliance with internal policy and controls and applicable regulations. Additionally, you will provide communication and training and approvals processes thereof. You will also assist with managing third-party vendors, internal and external systems, system updates, changes, processes, and system effects, and creating and reporting management metrics for assigned products to leadership. As a member of the product team, you will fully engage in the product, project, approval, audit, and other processes followed by the Bank. You will function as a subject matter expert on all assignments, duties, products, and other matters in support of internal and external partners. A particular focus will include data and reporting integrity, timeliness, correctness, and a deep and detailed focus on all tasks, partners, team members, and customers. You will be well-connected to Product Managers, card and line sales officers, and leadership to meet all needs in a timely manner and with 100% accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Card Product Manager(s) and other Card Product staff with managing all card products.
  • Research, analyze, evaluate, report, and communicate internal and external data and product performance for card products.
  • Develop, manage, analyze, present, and discuss reporting of key Card product metrics including revenue and interchange, transaction volumes, pricing, trends, profitability, and service quality.
  • Assist with designing, developing, and enhancing card products, ensuring compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.
  • Provide communication and training regarding product compliance and approvals processes.
  • Manage third-party vendors and internal/external systems, including system updates and changes.
  • Create and report management metrics for assigned products to leadership.
  • Engage in product, project, approval, audit, and other processes followed by the Bank.
  • Function as a subject matter expert on all assignments and duties in support of internal and external partners.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Data Management as a minimum.
  • 1-3 years of experience in banking and financial services or data management.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Banking, Finance, Treasury Management, Card Services/Card Issuance, and/or Product Management/Development background preferred.
  • Skills in Excel and Tableau, Microsoft products, systems, and data analysis.
  • Flexibility in managing multiple and differing systems simultaneously.
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to influence, collaborate, and communicate across all levels and lines of business.
