About the position
The Cardiac Catheterization Lab position at Lower Bucks Hospital is a per diem role focused on providing direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations in a surgical environment. The role emphasizes quality care, effective communication with physicians, and participation in performance improvement activities within the cardiovascular lab.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care to adult and geriatric patient populations.
- Addresses the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment.
- Communicates continuously with physicians about patient conditions.
- Assists with the maintenance of equipment and inventory.
- Assesses procedure room or equipment functioning and readiness.
- Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all needs of the Cardiovascular Laboratory team are met.
- Monitors physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Monitors and records patients' conditions continuously while in the Cardiovascular lab.
- Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License required.
- Current BCLS (AHA) and ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current required.
- One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab or in a Critical Care area required.
