About the position

The Cardiac Cath Lab RN position at Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital involves providing high-quality nursing care in the Cardiac Cath Lab unit. The role emphasizes collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care, ensuring safety, compassion, and efficiency. The RN will work full-time on a day shift schedule, with a requirement to be on call and live within a 30-minute commute to the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and appropriate care to patients according to nursing skills and patient needs.
• Coordinate nursing care delivery with an interdisciplinary team and make clinical decisions based on patient data.
• Collaborate with and direct the healthcare team to achieve positive patient outcomes.
• Develop and implement treatment and discharge plans for patients.
• Participate in ongoing evaluation of programs and process improvements for client-centered outcomes.
• Consider diverse patient needs throughout the continuum of care to optimize the patient experience.
• Adhere to regulatory standards and Texas Board of Nursing requirements.
• Ensure safe care for patients, staff, and visitors while managing resources effectively.
• Promote professional growth by meeting continuing education requirements and serving as a mentor to less experienced staff.
• Model Memorial Hermann's service standards by providing personalized and efficient experiences.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelor's of Nursing preferred.
• Current State of Texas RN license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing.
• Certified in Basic Life Support.
• Experience in Cath Lab or CVICU preferred.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• 1-3 years of nursing experience for RN II, 3-10 years for RN III, and 10+ years for RN IV.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Cath Lab or CVICU is highly preferred.
