About the position
The Cardiac Cath Lab RN position at Pride Health involves providing specialized nursing care in a travel contract role within a prestigious hospital system in Salem, MA. The role focuses on supporting patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process. This is a full-time, temporary position with a duration of 13 weeks, starting on November 19, 2024, and offers a competitive weekly pay rate.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures such as angioplasties, stent placements, and electrophysiological studies.
- Assess vital signs, administer medications, provide sedation, and ensure overall patient comfort and safety.
- Respond to emergencies, including cardiac arrest, and administer CPR or other life-saving interventions as needed.
- Manage post-procedural recovery, including monitoring patients for complications, managing pain, and providing education about follow-up care.
- Collaborate closely with doctors, cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
Requirements
- Minimum four (4) years of recent experience in a Cath/EP Lab.
- Must have Scrub and Interventional Cardiac experience.
- Active Commonwealth of Massachusetts RN license.
- American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
