The Cardiac Procedure Scheduler/Insurance Authorization Specialist plays a crucial role in a busy cardiology practice, responsible for scheduling hospital procedures and obtaining insurance authorizations for multiple physicians. This position requires a motivated individual with a strong background in medical scheduling and excellent organizational skills to ensure efficient operations within the practice.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling hospital procedures and diagnostic testing for 8 physicians.
- Obtaining insurance authorizations.
- Utilizing knowledge of cardiac procedure/testing terminology in relation to procedures and testing.
- Multi-tasking between assignments seamlessly.
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of HIPAA regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of medical scheduling experience.
- Stable work history.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
