About The Position

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 12 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years or completion of a re-entry nursing program.
• Valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
• BLS certification required; ACLS may be required in designated departments.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a telemetry or cardiac care unit.
• Certification in cardiac nursing or related specialty.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in a Cardiac Step-Down unit.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions, particularly those with cardiac issues.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Participate in cardioversions and assist with pacemaker ICD procedures.
• Educate patients and families about cardiac health and recovery.
