About The Position

Carondelet Medical Group is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist Physician to join their advanced interventional cardiology program in Southern Arizona. This is a full-time, employed opportunity within a physician-led organization with a strong history of healthcare excellence. The role involves practicing at the forefront of complex coronary intervention, cardiogenic shock management, and structural heart care, supported by an integrated hospital network and dedicated staff. The position offers a blend of outpatient practice and hospital call, with opportunities for mentorship in an active interventional cardiology fellowship program and participation in clinical research trials. Centralized support services are provided to minimize administrative burden, allowing the physician to focus on patient care.

Requirements

MD or DO degree
Board certified or board eligible in Interventional Cardiology
Arizona medical license or eligibility to obtain one

Responsibilities

Perform complex coronary interventions.
Manage cardiogenic shock.
Provide structural heart care.
Conduct 300-400 procedures annually in a high-volume Cath Lab.
Specialize in high-risk PCI and complex coronary interventions.
Utilize full atherectomy suite (laser, rotational, orbital, and intravascular lithotripsy).
Manage mechanical circulatory support (Impella, Tandem Heart, ECMO).
Serve as a referral hub for a dedicated cardiogenic shock program.
Participate in an on-site structural cardiology program.
Provide mentorship opportunities within the interventional cardiology fellowship program.
Participate in ongoing clinical research trials.
