About the position

This is a Cardiology (Non-Invasive) opportunity located in Scranton, PA, specifically designed for a Board Eligible or Board Certified Non-Invasive Cardiologist. The position has arisen due to the growth of the practice, which is a well-established 10-person single specialty group. The group currently comprises 3 Interventional Cardiologists, 3 Electrophysiologists, and 4 Non-Invasive Cardiologists, providing a comprehensive range of cardiology services. The practice includes in-office stress testing, echocardiography, and vascular ultrasound, with services offered at the main office and two satellite locations. Additionally, the group operates a device management clinic and a Coumadin clinic, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care. The hospital is equipped with three state-of-the-art catheterization labs, including a hybrid lab for TAVR and Watchman procedures, which enhances the capabilities of the cardiology team. The call schedule is approximately 1:6, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic. The practice is supported by an Internal Medicine Residency Program, providing opportunities for teaching residents, which can be a rewarding aspect of the role. The practice continues to expand, currently seeing around 150 new patients each week, indicating a strong demand for cardiology services in the area. Scranton, PA, is a vibrant city with a population of about 70,000 and a greater metropolitan area of approximately 250,000. The city is situated near the scenic Pocono Mountains, offering a variety of outdoor recreational activities such as hiking, biking, and golfing. Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive non-invasive cardiology services to patients.
  • Conduct in-office stress testing, echocardiography, and vascular ultrasound.
  • Participate in a call schedule of approximately 1:6.
  • Engage in teaching opportunities with Internal Medicine residents.
  • Manage patient care in device management and Coumadin clinics.
  • Collaborate with a team of interventional cardiologists and electrophysiologists.

Requirements

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Cardiology (Non-Invasive).
  • Advanced Imaging training with Cardiac CT/MRI is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
