About the position

Winchester Cardiology and Vascular Medicine (WCVM) is seeking an experienced Cardiology Advanced Practice Clinician to join their established team in Northern Virginia. This role involves providing care to cardiovascular patients in both hospital and clinic settings, utilizing a care team model. Candidates must have clinical competency in cardiology and hold or be eligible for a Virginia Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner License.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care to cardiovascular patients in both hospital and clinic settings.
• Interpret EKGs and manage post-surgical care.
• Administer cardiac medications and interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians in a care team model, typically pairing 1 APC with 1-2 physicians.
• Participate in a 3-6 month onboarding and training program based on expertise level.

Requirements

• Clinical competency and expertise in caring for cardiovascular patients.
• Eligibility for a Virginia Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner License.
• US citizenship, as no Visa positions are available.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with EPIC EMR system.
• Familiarity with diagnostic testing facilities and procedures in cardiology.
