About the position
The Cardiovascular Cath Lab Tech position is a travel contract role based in Hackensack, NJ, requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience in cardiac catheterization. The role involves assisting physicians in various cardiovascular procedures within a busy hospital setting. The assignment is for 13 weeks, with an immediate start expected within 2-4 weeks.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with all procedures in the catheterization laboratory.
- Perform cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, atherectomy, and valvuloplasty.
- Utilize intra-vascular ultrasound and perform pulmonary angiograms.
- Insert intra-aortic balloon pumps and stents, including coronary and biliary.
- Acquire knowledge and skills to assist in new procedures and technologies as they develop.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of cardiac catheterization experience in a busy hospital setting.
- ARRT certification with advanced registry in CV, CI, or VI preferred.
- BLS certification through AHA required.
