About the position

The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist II (CILS II) at AdventHealth Winter Garden is responsible for performing a variety of technical skills during diagnostic cardiovascular, non-ablation electrophysiology, and interventional radiology procedures. This role ensures efficient, comfortable, and safe examinations for patients while adhering to professional standards and hospital policies. The CILS II actively participates in customer service and maintains respectful relationships with all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of technical skills during diagnostic cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures.
• Ensure patient safety by following CDC isolation guidelines and using PPE appropriately.
• Prepare patients using aseptic techniques as dictated by procedures.
• Exhibit awareness of hazards that may endanger patients and enforce safety regulations.
• Verify orders and facilitate implementation, communicating with physicians as needed.
• Perform treatments and administer medications according to policy and training.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and medications.
• Maintain accurate and secure medical records for each patient.
• Perform effectively in all three procedural roles: circulate, monitor, and scrub.
• Take call as assigned and respond per policy.
• Proficiently perform diagnostic coronary and electrophysiology procedures, as well as interventional radiology procedures.
• Assist with orientation, training, and education of new personnel.

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Emergency Medical Services, Nursing, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current valid State of Florida or multi-state license as a Registered Nurse (RN), Radiologic Technologist (R.T.(R)), Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), or National Registry of Paramedics (NREMT-P).

Nice-to-haves

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification for campuses performing procedures on pediatric patients.
