The Cardiovascular Technologist will serve as the primary scrub technologist, assisting cardiologists and vascular surgeons with various procedures. The Catheterization Lab at Exeter Hospital is equipped with high-quality imaging and hemodynamic monitoring technology. We are available 24/7 for emergent cardiac patient needs and daily scheduled procedures. The team routinely performs coronary angiography/angioplasty, diagnostic/interventional peripheral vascular, and implant pacemakers/ICDs, along with other non-invasive procedures. We are committed to providing skillful, safe, efficient care to our patients and are looking to further grow our services in the future.
Responsibilities
- Capture fluoroscopic and cine images.
- Monitor and analyze patient hemodynamic and angiographic data, calculating valve areas, shunts, etc., under physician direction.
- Alert physicians to changes in patient response and assist with medication administration.
- Proficiently use all diagnostic and interventional devices under physician supervision.
- Assist with cases in the Operating Room when necessary.
- Provide on-call coverage for the 24/7 Catheterization Lab.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year of allied healthcare experience (preferred).
- Graduate of a Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) or Radiologic Technology (RT) Program.
- NH Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy (MIRT) certification.
- RT or RCIS certification (or eligibility).
- CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
- ACLS certification within 3 months of hire.
