About the position
The cardiovascular technologist acts as a clinical / technical support team member. They are competent in cardiac invasive procedural skill sets such as surgical scrub, hemodynamic monitoring and clinical data computation and acquisition. The cardiovascular technologist provides on call coverage as assigned and as rotations require. They are competent in cardiac imaging PACS acquisition and data management. The CVT is required to functionally perform duties in Cath Lab, EP lab and Interventional Vascular Lab as needed on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
- Act as a clinical/technical support team member in cardiovascular procedures.
- Perform surgical scrub and hemodynamic monitoring.
- Acquire and manage clinical data related to cardiovascular procedures.
- Provide on-call coverage as assigned and required by rotations.
- Competently perform duties in Cath Lab, EP lab, and Interventional Vascular Lab.
Requirements
- 2 year / Associate Degree in Accredited Cardiovascular Program (Required)
- 1 - 2 years Cardiovascular Technology Experience (Required)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification obtained within one year of hire
- Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) certification obtained within one year of hire
- Radiology Tech (ARRT) certification if applicable.
