About the position

The Cardiovascular Wellness Coordinator at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is responsible for overseeing the quality and operational management of cardiovascular wellness services. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the delivery of comprehensive wellness programs that focus on the whole person, integrating physical, emotional, and spiritual care. The coordinator will also manage staff, assist with program development, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide wellness consulting services to program participants.
• Assume responsibility for daily operations of the program.
• Supervise and direct staff involved in the program.
• Collaborate with medical directors and physicians on preventative programs.
• Assist staff in the procurement of equipment and supplies.
• Maintain necessary equipment and supplies for service delivery.
• Ensure program billing is entered and checked daily.
• Reassess marketing strategies to promote preventative programs.
• Establish program goals based on the organization's strategic plan.
• Collaborate with Heart and Vascular Leadership team on staffing and patient care issues.
• Monitor service quality and outcomes using PDCA methodology.
• Conduct thorough analysis of projects and develop implementation plans.
• Promote patient satisfaction and address care concerns using the LAST model.
• Maintain documentation for compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Assist with the development of new CV services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• 2 to 5 years of position-related experience.
• Basic EKG knowledge.
• Basic cardiovascular and pulmonary knowledge.
• BLS certification.
• Ability to function independently with little or no supervision.
• Effective communication skills in both written and oral form.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree.
• 5 years of position-related experience.
• ACLS certification.
