About The Position

The Care Attendant position at Lake Ridge Assisted Living involves providing essential support to residents, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life. Training is provided, making it accessible for those without prior caregiving experience.

Requirements

• Caregiving experience preferred, but not required; training will be provided.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Computer skills, with the ability to read, write, and communicate clearly.
• Self-motivated with a genuine desire to work with the elderly population.
• Must be 18 years or older to apply.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a similar setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Help residents reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence while assisting with personal care and daily living activities.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per individualized care plan.
• Take and record temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse, and respiration as instructed, reporting changes or concerns to the RN.
• Document services performed on a computerized charting system.
• Observe residents and report any changes in physical and emotional condition to the supervisor.
• Assist residents with personal care, including shampooing hair, showering/bathing, fingernail and foot care, and medication administration.
• Prepare and administer medications in accordance with Lake Ridge Assisted Living policies.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.
