About The Position

The Care Coordinator for Adolescent Behavioral Health is responsible for providing supervision and support to clients in a behavioral healthcare setting. This role focuses on ensuring client safety, building rapport, and assisting clients with their individual and group needs. The position requires active engagement in daily activities, documentation of client progress, and communication with treatment teams to facilitate effective care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, or sociology preferred.
• Prior work experience in behavioral health treatment settings with adolescents is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and eligibility for insurance coverage for driving company vehicles.
• Must become CPI and CPR certified within the first 30 days.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with adolescents in a behavioral health setting.
• Additional certifications in mental health or crisis intervention.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision for clients and ensure their safety while building rapport.
• Assist clients in working with groups and handling individual problems.
• Set limits for behavior and create documentation of client progress.
• Identify the need for professional services and communicate findings to professional staff.
• Contribute to the care and upkeep of the environment of care.
• Maintain awareness of assigned residents' activities at all times.
• Use verbal de-escalation methods to redirect client behaviors and prevent/respond to crises.
• Facilitate daily schedules and support residents in various activities.
• Complete daily shift notes for individual clients and communicate concerns to treatment teams.
• Supervise self-administration of medications and maintain training in medication disbursement.
• Provide transportation to residents for community outings in a safe manner.
