About the position

The Care Partner position at University Living involves providing compassionate support to residents in a senior living community. The role emphasizes empathy, engagement, and proactive assistance with daily living activities, ensuring a positive and inclusive environment for residents during their vulnerable moments.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADL) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and oral care.
  • Create human connections with residents and advocate for their emotional well-being.
  • Engage in personal development and training within the organization.
  • Maintain a positive and energetic attitude while working with residents and team members.
  • Be proactive in assisting residents with mobility and safety, including after falls.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
  • Possess computer skills for documentation and information entry.
  • Must be physically active, capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping throughout the shift.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a senior living or healthcare environment.
