As a Care Partner, you will play a crucial role in providing quality care and assistance to residents in accordance with the resident philosophy, policies, and rights. Your primary responsibility will be to assist residents in meeting their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, ensuring that they receive the highest level of care possible. You will adhere to each resident's Level of Care (LOC) and promptly notify your supervisor of any changes in a resident's condition. This position requires a compassionate and attentive individual who can respond to resident calls in a timely manner and assist them with Activities of Daily Living (ADL). In this role, you will be responsible for checking on residents every two hours and reporting your findings. You will encourage residents to attend meals in the dining room by escorting them to and from the dining area, and you will assist them with their meals in a manner that meets their individual needs and desires. It is essential to be cognizant of any changes in their appetites and physical abilities to eat and drink. Additionally, you will assist with cleaning and setting the dining room as directed by your supervisor, as well as tidying up residents' rooms and handling their personal laundry as needed. Building and maintaining good relationships with residents and their families is a key aspect of this position. You will also be responsible for disposing of all incontinent products according to OSHA regulations and company policy, practicing proper body mechanics when lifting, and responding to resident emergencies. Following the assigned schedule, adhering to clocking in and out procedures, and complying with uniform guidelines are also part of your responsibilities. You must be able to work in a safe and alert manner, taking ownership of your safety and the safety of the residents. It is important to disclose any medication that might impair your ability to perform the job safely or competently.
