About the position
The Care Partner position is a full-time role focused on providing compassionate care to elderly residents in a senior living community. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, health monitoring, emotional support, and engaging residents in social and recreational activities. The Care Partner is integral to creating a vibrant and supportive environment for residents, ensuring their well-being and dignity.
Responsibilities
- Assist elders with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Observe, document, and report changes in the elder's health or behavior to the Wellness Team.
- Provide emotional support to elders dealing with loneliness, anxiety, or other emotional challenges.
- Help elders with meals and possibly feed those who require additional support.
- Support elders in life-enriching activities for their well-being.
- Communicate with elders, their families, other team members, and guests.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to ensure general cleanliness.
Requirements
- Willingness to learn and work within a team environment.
- Good verbal communication skills and the ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Licensing documentation (if required by state) and ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Ability to perform job responsibilities with or without accommodation.
Nice-to-haves
- CNA certification preferred but not required.
- CBRF certification preferred but not required.
