About the position

The CARE-PD Analyst position at UCLA involves managing the Community Access Reach & Education in Pediatric Dentistry (CARE-PD) program. The role focuses on project management, outreach, and implementing health systems solutions, with responsibilities spanning from managing the Post-Doctoral Residency Program to conducting research and community outreach activities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update the CARE-PD program website.
  • Create and distribute quarterly schedules of didactic courses and clinic sessions in collaboration with the program manager.
  • Manage and analyze funds for the CARE-PD grant and communicate with the financial office.
  • Develop monthly data reports from electronic health records for resident performance evaluation.
  • Utilize quality improvement methodology to enhance CAMBRA utilization in pediatric dental clinics.
  • Conduct literature reviews and draft/edit publications and science reports.
  • Support Program Directors and Program Manager in all aspects of the CARE-PD program, including literature searches and preparing didactic materials.
  • Manage website information and all aspects of scheduling and correspondence.
  • Collect data for program evaluation and evaluate community activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a health-related field.
  • Experience in developing health education curricula and conducting outreach, especially with children and patients with special needs.
  • General knowledge of UCLA Academic Personnel Policies, forms, and procedures (preferred).
  • Demonstrated project management and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently and manage conflicting priorities under minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Ability to handle confidential information sensitively.
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated leadership, project management, and problem resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of public/private sector health organizations in LA County.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including report writing.

Nice-to-haves

  • General knowledge of UCLA Academic Personnel Policies (preferred).
  • Skills in other languages, such as Spanish (preferred).
  • Experience in community outreach services.
