The Career Coach at Hofstra University plays a vital role in delivering equitable career development education to students. The Career Coach will also serve as a liaison to the faculty and dean's office within an assigned college, collaborating to enhance the overall student experience and facilitate a smooth transition from academic life to the workforce. In addition to one-on-one coaching, the Career Coach will develop and deliver career development workshops that address the unique challenges faced by students from marginalized identities. The position requires consistent engagement in professional development to stay informed about higher education administration, career theory, coaching techniques, and industry trends. The Career Coach will also be involved in large-scale programming across the department and university, including career fairs and orientation events, while maintaining accurate records of student engagement and program participation. This role is essential in promoting student learning, growth, and success both in and out of the classroom, contributing to student recruitment and retention efforts.
