About the position

The Career Coach for the E.J. Ourso College of Business at Louisiana State University plays a vital role in supporting students and alumni in their career development. This position focuses on providing career coaching, facilitating experiential learning opportunities, and promoting a culture of career readiness within the college. The Career Coach will work closely with faculty, staff, and students to enhance career exploration and preparation, ensuring that students are well-equipped for their future careers.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance, coaching, and support to students throughout their career development process, including major/career exploration and professional transition.
• Educate students through one-on-one appointments, presentations, workshops, and print/virtual resources.
• Serve as an embedded career liaison to the E.J. Ourso College of Business to develop a culture of career readiness.
• Promote and track experiential education opportunities for students.
• Collaborate with university and employer partners to develop unique programs that support student learning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum of one year of professional-related work experience (2 years of graduate assistantship qualifies).

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree in higher education administration, college student development, or a closely related field.
• Experience working in a university career services office.
